Iris X Reading of the Week/Week beginning on 12/30/24:

Greetings to the friends of Iris X readings! I hope you are all having a good holiday season or that you are hanging in there through the end of the year. Before I get into the weekly reading, I wanted to make an announcement! If you enjoy these readings, consider getting personalized Tarot card readings every month. If you go to irisxtarot.com/shop, there are options to have mini readings monthly and full readings too. Getting regular readings can help you to have clarity and focus so that you can have the best year possible. THANK you to the people who read this reading every week and support my little business. At one point, I was going to stop doing these weekly readings. But I was told about how this reading is something that a lot of people count on every week, and so I am continuing to provide it in the New year.

This week, I am working with the Universal Tarot by Lo Scarebo. A good friend gifted me this deck, and I am really enjoying working with it. It follows traditional Waite/Smith imagery in a unique way- and I love the large sized cards! I shuffled the cards and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. It is for a person who is overwhelmed and might want to consider some changes in the new year. Read on- see if it's for you or someone you know!

The reading begins with the VII of Swords. If this is your reading, you feel like you have been burning the candle at both ends. You are trying to do too much, and it makes you feel like you are not doing anything as well as you should be. You feel like you are cutting corners, and you have been feeling bad about this. Tasks never end and you don't get to finish anything in the way that you want to. You are doing the best that you can, but you are exhausting yourself. No matter how much you do, you always feel like you could have done better.

The Knight of Wands appears next. You are moving like Fire. You are putting out a lot of energy, but you have a hard time maintaining it and you lose focus. You have a bunch of unfinished projects and things that you keep meaning to get to, but you lose focus and time. You have passion and interest, but you can't seem to finish anything. You burst into activity and then taper off to a candle that is flickering out.

The II of Pentacles is next, showing you juggling quite a lot of things. You are not just busy- you are busy in multiple directions at once. You have learned to do this with a smile so that people don't know when you are struggling. Everyone assumes that you are fine. But you are keeping a lot of balls up in the air at once right now. You feel like you can't stop moving without dropping everything that you are doing. And so- you juggle.

The key to this reading is the VI of Cups. It is a card of rites of passage- crossing the bridge into the next stage of your life. This card suggests that there are some changes to make. Perhaps it is time to leave some things behind in 2024 before crossing into the new year. You can make changes whenever you wish to; but there is something about the changing of years that motivates us to evaluate our lives and what is not working. Make any change that you need to right now and use the power of the shifting years to your advantage. Decide what you leave behind, and what comes forward with you over the bridge.

Here's what I see. If this is your reading, you have been very busy for a long time. You have been your own worst enemy, following your passion into multiple projects. You spend a lot of time feeling guilty about the things that you have not finished. You are very hard on yourself and feel like you are not doing enough no matter how much you do. You are worried that you are losing focus and not completing your projects, and you feel like your To Do list never ends. You have been juggling a lot for a very long time- you have far too much to do, and you are pulled in too many directions at once. But you can change that. You are crossing the bridge from one year to the next, and there is nothing that says that you can't leave some things in the past year. Consider your life and tasks. What do you want to take with you into the New Year? What stays behind to help balance out your life. Because looking at this reading, you have been doing this for far too long. And you are the one that is putting yourself in the position that you are in. As the year changes, you can change anything you want along with it. You always have that power- but more so at this time of the year. Decide what you want to put your energy and time into. Consider that it's ok to grow and change. What you could manage in the past may not add up to what you can do now. Give yourself some grace to change your ways so that you can find some peace. There's only so much that one person can do, and cutting down on the things that are on your plate may help you to focus your energy better. This is all a matter of growing, changing and evolving. There comes a time where we have to make some choices.

If you need a reading this week, send a message to irisxtarot@gmail.com. Have a great week, and if this is your reading- I hope you get some peace.
