Hello to the friends of Iris X readings! This week's reading was done on a favorite of mine: The Raven's Dream Tarot by MJ Cullinane. It is colorful and vibrant; and of course, I am a lover of Ravens. I shuffled the cards without a question- only asking that I receive a reading for someone who will see this post. Read on and see if it's for you. This one feels like it is for a person that is really feeling the weight of the world lately.
And as an organizational note- even if you are subscribed to my webpage, you still have to click on the blog every monday to see this post. My goal is to not annoy people with constant messages or notifications, so I keep emails very low. If you are subscribed, (irisxtarot.com/subscribe), you Will get a monthly newsletter sent to your email box. To find the reading of the week, just check my blog every monday morning! And- a reminder that 78 days of Tarot class begins this week!
The Wheel of Fortune starts this reading with major shifts and changes. The Wheel is spinning- sometimes you are on top, other times on the bottom. This card represents the larger fateful forces of the world. While it is interesting and shows times in your life when you are most certainly paying attention; it is also exhausting. You may feel spun and confused. You know that something big is happening, and it may be spinning too fast- making you feel dizzy and disoriented. There are very impactful things happening around you right now and you are just trying to catch your breath and keep your feet on the ground.
The Five of Cups is a card of sadness, loss and mourning. The Fives of Tarot often show places where we feel frozen, stuck, or unable to move forward. Your heart is very affected by the changes happening around you. You are focused on what was and you are mourning a loss. You can't help but look down at everything that has been lost, even though there is still a lot to work with here. But sometimes, you just have to feel sad.
The Eight of Wands appears next showing birds just about to land. There is more coming. You feel like you are constantly looking up to see what may be crashing down. But there are other communications that are coming through as well. There are goals that you are trying to accomplish and plans that you have. There are the messages/wands that come down to us when we least expect it. But sometimes, the Eight of Wands is about the type of communication that you want to happen- the kind that will advance some of your personal goals.
The key to the reading is Death. This is a card of significant change and transition.Things fall apart, shift, and no longer look the same. Death is hard to process even if not the feared physical death (that this card doesn't tend to represent at all). It is a change that is big enough that it shifts everything in a seismic way. It is impactful- Death changes all that it touches. The key is knowing where you are in the process. With Death as the key to the Wheel of Fortune- you may have to go along for the ride and see what happens next. There are many forces out there- some are much bigger than we are.
Here's what I see. To be honest, this reading feels very clear to me. If this is your reading, you are feeling spun and shocked. You are not sure what to expect. You know that something impactful is happening, but it is hard to pay attention to it all at once. The Wheel is spinning and big things are changing. You are processing it all through your heart, feeling a lot of loss and sadness for what was. There is something that you are mourning, and it's hard to not feel emotionally stuck. What you Could use is a good break. But that's not in the cards. There is more coming down- more things to be communicated. This comes with a reminder to keep some focus on the things that you want to have happen too. When you can't count on much, remember to keep an eye on your own goals and the things that you are trying to accomplish. The key is that everything is changing. You can pay close attention to it or close your eyes and act like it is not happening. That doesn't stop the wheel from spinning- there are forces that are bigger than we are. Maybe you need to pay close attention to the changes that you see- monitoring them up close. Or perhaps it's just the big picture that is helpful to you. The Wheel is spinning, things are changing, there is more to come- and you should do what you need to so that you can take care of yourself as things change into something different.
Take care, Tarot friends! If you need a reading, send a message to irisxtarot@gmail.com.
