Iris X Reading of the week/Week beginning on 2/17/25:

Hello to the friends of Iris X Readings. This week's reading was done on The Wildwood Tarot created by Mark Ryan, John Matthews and Will Worthington. This deck is different from most other decks I work with. It has a feeling like it is its own world. You can't always match the meanings to traditional Tarot, and there are times when you just have to step into the world of the Wildwood Tarot to find the meanings. I shuffled this deck that is close to my heart, and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. I never know if it is for me, you, or someone I have never met. I feel some resonance with this one- and I feel like it is for others who are perhaps in similar positions. Read on- see if this one is for you.

The reading begins with The Seer gazing into a scrying bowl full of water, sensing what is coming next. This is a card of a person who has more than your average amount of intuition and psychic powers. If this is your reading, you are feeling more quiet than usual. You are trying to sense what is coming next, and you are gathering up your magic and skills. You are trying to stay centered so that you can step outside of the situation and see what it is about. You are listening more than you are speaking. You feel like now is a good time to be quiet and to pay attention. You stand at a gate.

The Wheel of Fortune appears next and is a card of the powers of Fate. This is a card that is bigger than me and you. It is about the larger powers and patterns of the universe. While we live in the here and now, there is a bigger spiritual picture that we are all a part of, whether or not we know it. If this is your reading, you are sensing the Wheel spinning and change coming. There are signs and synchronicities and if you are paying close enough attention you can feel a connection and resonance with everything that is around you. You can see a pattern.

The Six of Vessels appears next. If this is your reading, you have a bridge to cross- a change up ahead. This is a card of moving into the next stage of your life. It is a rite of passage that helps you to grow and move onto something different. You are growing up, evolving and maturing. Decide what you want to take with you and what you want to leave behind in your past. Things will not look the same once you have made this change. Make sure that you mark this time in a way that you remember it. You may look back on this time as 'when everything changed.'

The Nine of Stones is the key- and in this deck, it is called Tradition. This is a card of staying well and connected through silence, ritual and repetition. It is about leisure, but it is also a card of movement. If this is your reading, the key is to work on little projects. Keep yourself busy. Putter around and get things done. Stay quiet and listen to the birds and the wind. Preserve the ways from the past that you would like to keep. Be the hermit in the world, finding the spiritual connectivity with the world around you, and staying shielded from the chaos and noise as much as you can.

Here's what I see. This reading is for a spiritual person who is trying to stay in their own realm. You can feel the wheel spinning and the times changing. You are trying to stay calm and balanced so that you can glimpse the larger picture and not get stuck in day-to-day chaos. You are trying to step outside of yourself so that the patterns of what is happening become clear to you. While this is all happening, you are crossing a bridge and moving into a different time in your life. You are growing, evolving, and finding new ways. It feels important to maintain your spiritual space in this time period so that you can stay on your track. The best thing that you can do are the things that you have always done. Ask yourself- what keeps you calm and peaceful? What brings your energy down and keeps you moving in a productive and grounded way? Become engrossed in projects and hobbies. Work on your skills and crafts. Maintain tradition and ritual. The Wheel is spinning, and things are changing. You can sense this happening already. Find ways to keep your feet on the ground and to stay successful, prosperous and well while keeping your balance on a spinning wheel. You will not be the same after this stage of your life. You will have changed and sharpened your intuition and skills.
