Good Morning and Happy Moon day to the friends of Iris X Readings. This week's reading was done on the Visconti Sforza Tarot; the oldest deck to be found in print to my knowledge! I asked the cards for a reading for someone who will read this post. I never know who it is for until I post it! Sometimes it's for one person, other times it is for a crowd. Read on, see if it is for you.
The week begins with The Emperor, and if this is your reading, you are trying to maintain control. Later on in the reading, it is clear that there is something that is falling apart and crashing. You are trying to keep your head above the water and not lose control of a very hard situation. You may feel tightly wound and hypervigilant right now. You are standing with power while everything around you falls.
The VIII of Cups comes up next to tell you to take a deep breath. Something is off or not coming together. You have to take a break from being the Emperor and holding things together. It is time to go on a quest to find your own power. Take some time off and go for a walk in the woods. You may be best going off on your own. There is a solution to your problems right now- there is something that you have to figure out and you need some time alone to do it. Sometimes, other people have your answers. This isn't one of those times.
The Hermit wraps up the week with a reminder that sometimes, you have to just figure things out yourself. This is a card of spirituality and solitude. You may not know all of the answers now, and you will have to figure it out one step at a time. Look at things close up, and deal with what is right in front of you first. No need to worry about the long term future right now, things will not look the same as they do now. You are on a longer walk here than you think.
The key to the week is The Tower. Everything is crashing down. Something has broken- perhaps past the point of repair. Things have been building up to the point of breaking point for a really long time. And even though you knew it was coming, it is still a shock. But the foundation that the Tower was built on was flawed in some way- it was always going to fall down. This is not an easy time, and the key is to understand that something is breaking. You can't hold it together.
Here's what I see. If this is your reading, there is something that is absolutely collapsing in your life. You feel hurt, shocked, and upset. You are trying to hold it all together and to maintain control of a situation that is crumbling in your hands. You don't want to believe that it cannot be fixed, and as it all falls, you are trying to quickly rebuild. That is not how this works. You are not in control of the situation right now, as much as you would like to be. Take a step back and take a walk. You have something that you are trying to understand right now, and you need some space away from the chatter to do it. No one has the answers that you are looking for- you have to figure it out yourself. First, you have to admit that there was something that was not coming together correctly in the first place. You have to move slowly, one step at a time. Be conscientious, there is a lot that you can learn right now. But you can't change the fact that the Tower is falling. All you can do is let it crash. It will be time to fix things later and build your world back up. Your key is in the destruction of it all right now- you have to look at that before you can move forward. And when you do, take the Hermit's slow walk. Light up the path in front of you one step at a time.
Take care this week, and if you need a reading- send a message to irisxtarot@gmail.com. Have a good week! Make sure to share this one- it may be for someone you know.
I'm feeling this one again? Still? I don't believe that I have ever seen you post the Tower from this deck or even the Hermit. They are both unfamiliar to me with this deck!! Just an observation! Thank you for this deep reading!
