Hello to the friends of Iris X Readings! This week's reading was done on the Universal Folk Tarot by Anita Inverarity. I love her art for the mix of humans and wild animals. In this one layout, I can see an Owl, Cat, Fish, Tiger, Monkey, Goat, Butterflies, Hare and Birds. In my mind, Tarot is a reflection of reality. How sad our reality would be if there were only people. I appreciate decks that include the rest of nature too. Humans are a part of the world; but they are not more central or more important than everything else that inhabits our world. I shuffled this beautiful deck and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. I never know who it will be for until it is posted. Read on- see if it's for you! And share!
This week's reading begins with the Six of Wands. This is a card of success and victory. It is when you do something that gets the attention of the world around you in a positive way. You feel a sense of purpose and accomplishment, having worked very hard to get where you are going. This is a card of winning and transforming your whole life. If this is your reading, there is something that you excel at- a skill that you have perfected.
The next card is The Hermit. You enjoy being alone, and you work best if you are given time and space to yourself. You like getting lost in your thoughts, taking long walks alone, and finding wisdom in books and in nature. Too much chatter irritates you, and you feel like you need silence so that you can find your path. You enjoy looking at things up close and figuring out how everything works.
Strength is the third card, which speaks to your powers and skills. Strength often asks us- what are you good at? What are your strengths? What do you do with your power? Strength speaks to your unique way of approaching the world. There is an inner power that you have that changes the world around you. Quite often- everyone can see it but you!
The key to the week is the Queen of Pentacles. This is a card of loving the work that you do and feeling very grounded and successful. It is also a card of prosperity and monetary success. You are not afraid of working hard to accomplish your goals. You have a lot of ideas and creativity and you know how to direct it. If you don't love the work that you do- you have great potential for finding something that you truly love. The Queen of Pentacles is about embodying the work that you do in the world- when your work is your way of life.
Here's what I see. If this is your reading, there is something that you have been excelling at for a really long time. It is a skill that you worked very hard to cultivate. People in your life have been proud of you, and it is something that makes you stand out as unique in the world. This skill has high potential to draw prosperity into your life if you direct it well. You would do well at a business that you create on your own that would allow you to move at your own pace. You have a unique way of moving through the world, and you don't enjoy being told what to do. You tend to go your own way, and walk to the beat of your own drummer. This unique way of yours has probably gotten you in trouble in the past. You just can't do things like other people. But you seem to be finding success in doing things your own way. By following your own aptitude and skills, you are likely to be able to work on your own- and this would make you quite happy. It is a bit of a leap, but it's something that you have been working on for a very long time. I'd say to go for it. You have a nature that would benefit from doing things your own way, and making your work your way of life.
