This week's reading was done on The Wayfarer Tarot- a deck that I co-created with Margaret Shipman. It is a favorite of mine, with a visual language that speaks very clearly. I asked the cards for a reading for someone who will see this post. Read on, see if it's for you. This reading is for a person that is going through a challenge that they Will overcome.
The reading begins with the VII of Water. If this is your reading, you are feeling like you can't find the ground under your feet. You have a lot of ideas and thoughts, but you don't know how to manifest any of them. You feel lost and confused- like you don't know where to focus your energy. You try to take a step forward, and something stops you from moving. You know where you need to go, but you don't know how to get there.
In the center of your reading is the V of Water. This is a card of heartbreak and sadness. Disappointment and loss. Your focus is on something that was lost or has fallen apart. You know that you have a lot to be grateful for that has not gone away, but it's really hard to not focus on the spilled cups. You are stuck in a moment- and it's really hard to move on.
Judgment is next, and the only Major Arcana card in the reading (meaning- it is what everything is Really about. ) Judgment is about a rebirth. You walk down the long hall for so long that you are disoriented, and you have forgotten where you are going. But at the end is an open door. You are closer to feeling better than you think you are. Your long walk is about to end, and there are things that are going to make sense to you that you have not understood before. This is a card of rebirth and clarity.
The key to this reading is the King of Air. You have managed a lot of challenges, and you are coming up and out of it. See if you can zoom out of your situation and look at it from a bird's eye view. Find the wisdom in the tangled story, and walk away feeling clear and sure. You have made it through an ordeal, and you can gain a lot of wisdom from getting some distance from it.
Here's what I see. If this is your reading, you have been going through a hard time for so long that you have almost gotten used to it. You ask yourself why you are feeling like you can't focus- and the answer is that you have been going through a painful experience while expecting yourself to maintain a clear head and not slow down. The good news is that you are coming to the end of this. There is light at the end of the tunnel. You will regain your energy, focus, and ease. But first- you have to disentangle yourself from the upset that has been the center of your life. You have struggled through this enough, and it is now time to start turning some of those thoughts and ideas into concrete reality. You have gained a lot of wisdom through a hard time, and there has been a cost. Expect your eyes and heart to clear soon, you are just about there.
